Wladyslaw Laskonogi (c. 1161-1231)

Ladisluas was the son of Mieszko the Old prince of Gniezno and Poznan. He was not supported by the nobles, consequently his reign is one of division and sorrow. Most nobles supported Leszek the White, son of Casimir the Just. As a result Ladislaus was exiled and Leskek claimed power in Cracow. Following Leszek’s death Ladislaus regained Greater Poland but was once agin exiled by Conrad who claimed the throne of his brother Leszek. Ladislaus died in Silesia.
